T. Pierce "Bud" Rhodes Jr. is a third generation native of the Verde Valley and grew up on a cattle ranch where he and his family also raised quarter horses. Bud and his wife Annette (of
39 years) raised two daughters, and still recreationally raise horses and cattle on the same property.

- Elected to and served six years on the Verde Valley Fire District Governing Board
- Elected to and served six years on the Cornville Page Springs Fire District (previous to its consolidation with Verde Rural Fire District)
- Past Yavapai County Supervisor appointee to the Regional Economic Development Committee
- Charter Member and past Chair of Cornville Community Association
- Recently retired head coach of the Mingus Union High School girls varsity soccer team
- Over 30 years of volunteer youth coaching in the Verde Valley
